Eighth gen Musume Mitsui Aiki has announced she will be graduating alongside Niigaki Rika on the 18th of May! Holy crap on a cracker, that’s less than 2 weeks away!

According to the official announcement, her decision was prompted by continuing health concerns relating to last year’s ankle injury.

Poor Mitsui! You will be missed!

“The staff asked the girls who would like to help with Zukki in preparing the veggies, with most of them wanting to do it. Eripon says since she is the winner, she should go, which everyone disagree, as it defeats the purpose of a batsu game. Maachan says she’s never made Yakisoba before, that’s why she wants to TRY and help. Kuduu instantly says that’s more reason why she shouldn’t help. Ayumi says she’s done it before so she should go. Luckily…or unluckily, instead of letting them go on forever arguing who gets to help, the staff picked Maachan to go. Maachan was, later on in the show, kicked out of the kitchen by Zukki after seeing how dangerous she is with a knife.”

“Eripon asks how everyone thinks the spring concert tour is going so far. Just as Mizuki is about to give her thoughts, Maachan screams, “SCARY! SCARY!” from the Kitchen. Kuduu, turns around and yells, “BE QUIET!!!”. Thanks Mama Kuduu, you’re the only one who can keep Maachan in check.”

“Fukuchan goes on to share a Maachan Renai Hunter story. During the recording of this song, Fukuchan was scheduled to go right after Maachan. Since Fukuchan was already at the studio prepping for her turn, she decided to listen in on Maachan’s session and was very impressed. Fukuchan remembers her 2nd single – Only You – and how she was still so very nervous and worried about whether she had practiced enough for the recording session. When she saw Maachan during her recording session she didn’t see any anxiety coming from Maachan at all.

Maachan wants to explain. She says that she was incredibly nervous but the night before the recording session, Fukuchan came up to her and said she would be just fine. Maachan says it was because of Fukuchan’s support, even more so than her own practice effort, that got her through that recording session.”
